La exposición enfrenta una pequeña selección de fotografías de las series DubaiLand y Small Dreams, tomadas entre el 2008 y 2009, sacadas de su contexto inicial, generando así un nuevo significado.Pequeñas interpretaciones presenta un paseo por distintos paisajes y situaciones en búsqueda de signos y símbolos que refieren a la acción del hombre, su interrelación con el espacio y consigo mismo. Éstos signos no son más que evidencias sociales e ideológicas, imágenes de nosotros mismos. Caricaturas. Objetos cargados de fantasía, pero a la vez señales para descifrar y analizar. Con nuestros actos, nos proyectamos en el paisaje y nuestra insistente construcción artificiosa habla de nosotros como individuos y como sociedad. De nuestros valores.
Pequeñas interpretaciones se presenta a través de una catalogación de objetos y espacios sacados de su propio contexto, para evidenciar su incongruencia esencial, generando así un efecto amplificador de su significado y a la vez de la ironía de las propias imágenes.
LITTLE INTERPRETATIONS
The exhibit brings together a small selection of photographs from the Dubailand and Small Dreams series shot between 2008 and 2009, which are taken out of their original context, thus lending them a new meaning.
Little interpretations takes a walk through different landscapes and situations in search of signs and symbols making reference to human actions and their interrelationship with spaces and with each other. These signs are nothing more than social and ideological facts, images of ourselves. Caricatures. Objects loaded with fantasy, yet at the same time signs to be decoded and analyzed. With our actions, we project ourselves onto the landscape, and our insistent, artificial construction tells us about what we are like as individuals and as a society. About our values.
Little interpretations is presented by cataloging objects and spaces removed from their context to reveal their crucial incongruity, thus magnifying their meaning and, at the same time, the irony of the images themselves.
